Garage management software

Garage management software that runs the whole workshop

Baktam is cloud-based garage management software for independent workshops and small garage groups. Vehicle check-in, job cards, parts, payments and reminders sit in one system, so the front desk, the technicians and the owner work from the same records, each with the access their role needs.

What good garage management software should do

A workshop day moves between the phone, the front desk, the ramp, the parts shelf and the till. When those steps live in a diary, a spreadsheet and a group chat, jobs slip and money goes uncollected. Garage management software should put every step on one record: who the customer is, what the vehicle has had done before, what is on the shelf and what is still owed.

  • Find a customer or vehicle by plate number and open its full job history
  • Parts and labour lines with a tax rate and discount on every line
  • Stock, cash book, customer accounts and payments in the same system
  • Web panel for any browser, plus mobile apps for iOS and Android

Job cards from check-in to handover

When a car arrives, the job card records mileage, fuel level, the customer's complaint and photos, and a vehicle intake form can be printed for signature. Each job moves through Quote, In Service, Completed and Delivered, and you can assign one or more technicians. Regular jobs such as an interim or full service can be saved as service packages, so all of their parts and labour lines are added in one step.

Parts, stock and branches

Parts added to a job card are deducted from stock and the amount is posted to the customer's account. Supplier deliveries are booked in with purchase invoices, low-stock items appear on a reorder suggestion list, and stock counts keep the records in line with the shelf. Groups with more than one site can run separate branches and move parts between them with stock transfers. For counter sales there is a POS mode with barcode search, and barcode labels can be printed from the product list.

Set up for your country

Your business country sets the currency, tax rates, phone format and time zone: a UK garage works in GBP with 20%, 5% and 0% VAT and odometer readings in miles, while a Dubai garage works in AED with 5% VAT. Profiles also cover Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and more countries in Europe, plus Turkey. The interface comes in 12 languages, including English and right to left Arabic. Printed documents follow the country, such as a Tax Invoice with TRN in the UAE or a Tax invoice with your ABN in Australia, and in Saudi Arabia sales can be issued as ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoices once you onboard your e-invoicing unit.

Keep customers informed

Send the customer a secure link to review a quote on their phone and approve it with a signature, or decline it; the decision is saved on the job card. An online booking page lets customers pick a free slot and leave their plate and phone number, and the booking lands in your calendar. On the Pro and Enterprise plans you can connect your own Twilio SMS or WhatsApp Business (Cloud API) account to send automatic vehicle received, vehicle ready and service reminder messages.

Roles, plans and pricing

Owners, admins, cashiers and technicians each get their own role. Technicians see only the jobs assigned to them and never see prices or costs, and cost reports are visible to the owner only. The Micro plan suits a single-site garage with two users, Pro supports up to 10 users and 3 branches, and Enterprise removes those limits. Current prices are on the pricing page, and every plan can be tried free for 14 days.

Type the plate, select or add the customer and vehicle, then add the parts and labour for the job.

  3. 3

    Get paid and hand over

Record the payment, mark the vehicle as delivered and the job is added to its service history and your reports.

FAQ

Do I need to install anything?⌄

No. Baktam runs in any up-to-date browser on a computer, tablet or phone. There are also mobile apps for iOS and Android for check-in, photos and barcode scanning.

Does it work without an internet connection?⌄

No. The cloud service needs an internet connection and there is no offline mode.

Can I use the software in Arabic?⌄

Yes. Each user picks their own interface language from 12, including English, Arabic, French, German and Spanish. The Arabic interface is laid out from right to left and uses Latin digits.

No. The technician role sees only assigned jobs, without prices or costs. Technicians can log their working time and add notes and photos to the job card.

How is the subscription paid?⌄

Outside Turkey, subscriptions are billed in US dollars and paid by bank transfer against an invoice. Card checkout is not available for international customers yet.
