Parts seller software: workshops' requests, quotes and accounts on one screen

A parts seller's day is full of calls from workshops: “have you got this part, how much?” Baktam's sales panel puts those requests in writing. The workshop opens a request and you write a quote; when the order comes in you prepare and deliver it. The sale is posted to your shared account with the workshop automatically.

What is it for?

In the workshop

Workshops ask for prices by phone and you forget which quote went to whom.

With Baktam

Incoming requests are listed; you quote each one with product, quantity, price and ready date.

In the workshop

The workshop's account is in a notebook; payments and due dates cause arguments.

With Baktam

A shared account: both sides see the same entries. Payment confirmations, due date changes and reconciliation go through with the other side's approval.

In the workshop

Nobody can show who a delivered part was handed to.

With Baktam

A delivery QR code, or the buyer's “Received” confirmation in the app; once the delivery is confirmed, it comes out of stock.

How does it work?

  1. 1

Sign up as a parts seller

Choose “Parts seller” at sign-up. If you also do repairs, you can switch both on.

  2. 2

    Publish your catalog

You choose which products are visible, and whether price and stock are shown. You can also appear when workshops in your city search for sellers.

  3. 3

    Quote and prepare orders

Quote on incoming requests and prepare the order when it arrives. “Buy now” orders come straight in, and you can reject them with a reason.

  4. 4

    Deliver and collect

Deliver with a QR code or the buyer's confirmation. Follow due dates, credit limits, collection days and visits on the account screen.

Frequently asked questions

Do the workshops need to use Baktam too?

Yes. Requests, quotes, orders and the shared account work between two Baktam businesses. You can give your connection code to the workshops you supply.

Can everyone see my prices?

No. Products are only visible if you publish them, and price and stock are separate permissions. Your full address and cost prices are never published.

Can I record a direct sale?

Yes. You can record a direct sale to a connected workshop; it is posted to the account once the workshop's manager approves it.

Is a parts seller account priced differently?

No. Plans and prices are the same; the business type does not change the price.
