Work order software: one job card from check-in to handover
When a car pulls in, you type the plate and the customer, the vehicle and its past jobs come up. You add the complaint, the mileage and photos, then assign a technician. As parts and labor go in, the total and tax are worked out for you, and payment is taken on the same record when the car goes home.

What is it for?
In the workshop
The complaint is on one scrap of paper, the mileage in another book, and nobody remembers what was promised.
With Baktam
Complaint, mileage, fuel level and photos stay on the work order. You can print the check-in sheet and have the customer sign it.
In the workshop
The technician fitted a part but forgot to write it down. At month end the profit is gone and the stock doesn't add up.
With Baktam
A part comes out of stock the moment it is added to the work order, with its cost. You can see what was fitted and who fitted it.
In the workshop
The customer waits at the counter while tax and discounts are worked out on a calculator.
With Baktam
Tax and discount are calculated line by line and the total appears instantly. Service packages (for example a routine service) add all their lines in one click.
How does it work?
- 1
Check the car in
Pick the plate and customer, note the complaint and mileage. In the mobile app you can scan the VIN with the camera and take photos on the spot.
- 2
Assign the technician
One job can have several technicians. Each sees the job on their own screen; the start/stop timer in the mobile app records the time spent.
- 3
Add parts and labor
Pick parts from stock or add a service package. Price, tax and discount are worked out line by line; parts come out of stock.
- 4
Move the status on
Quote → In Service → Completed → Delivered. When the job is completed, a “your car is ready” message can go out automatically (if an SMS/WhatsApp account is connected).
- 5
Hand over and get paid
Take cash, card, bank transfer or cheque where your country allows it; anything unpaid goes on the customer's account. The job is added to the vehicle's history.
Who uses it?
Front desk / cashier
Checks the car in, opens the work order and takes payment at handover.
Technician
Sees the jobs assigned to them and adds parts and notes. Never sees prices or costs.
Workshop owner
Sees what each job came to, who owes what and how much the job made.
This feature is part of Baktam, the garage management software that keeps the whole workshop in one place.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print the work order and have the customer sign it?
Yes. The check-in sheet and the work order can be printed, or saved as PDF from your browser. The check-in sheet also carries the vehicle's QR code.
Can the customer approve the quote?
Yes. For a work order in Quote status you send the customer an approval link. They see the lines and the total, type their name, sign and approve or reject. An approved job moves to In Service.
Do technicians see prices?
No. A user with the Technician role only sees jobs assigned to them; amounts, costs and profit are hidden.
Do I have to type the same service every time?
No. Save the jobs you do often (for example an oil and filter service) as a service package with its parts and labor, and add it to a work order in one click.
