Garage stock software: what is on the shelf, what is running out, what to order
Parts gathering dust on the shelf, or vanishing without a trace, are a workshop's hidden losses. Baktam knows every part: brand, SKU, OEM number, barcode, cost and selling price, minimum stock level. Purchase invoices book stock in, parts added to a work order take it out, and counts, transfers and reorder suggestions sit in the same place.

What is it for?
In the workshop
To answer “how many oil filters are left?” someone walks to the shelf.
With Baktam
Stock is live: purchase invoices add, work orders and sales deduct. When a product drops to its minimum level, managers get a notification.
In the workshop
The year-end stock take takes two days and nobody knows where the differences came from.
With Baktam
Count with a barcode scanner or the phone camera; differences between counted and recorded stock are listed and corrected.
In the workshop
What to order is a guess, so parts either run out or pile up.
With Baktam
The reorder screen suggests quantities from the last 30 days of usage and shows the last supplier; the list downloads as CSV.
How does it work?
- 1
Create product cards
Name, brand, SKU, OEM number, barcode, cost and selling price, minimum stock level. We can help you import your spreadsheet.
- 2
Book stock in from purchase invoices
Enter the supplier's invoice; stock and cost price are updated. Invoices from an integrated distributor arrive by themselves.
- 3
Find and use parts by barcode
A USB/Bluetooth scanner or the camera in the mobile app. Search by name, SKU, OEM number or barcode.
- 4
Count, transfer, reorder
Barcode stock takes, transfers between branches (sent → received), label printing and reorder suggestions in one menu.
Who uses it?
Manager / workshop lead
Manages product cards, purchase invoices, counts and transfers.
Technician
Finds parts by barcode and adds them to the job. Never sees cost prices.
Workshop owner
Sees stock value, low-stock items and best sellers.
This feature is part of Baktam, the garage management software that keeps the whole workshop in one place.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a barcode scanner?
No. You can search by name, SKU or OEM number. In the mobile app the phone camera works as a scanner, and USB or Bluetooth scanners work too.
Can I print labels for products without a barcode?
Yes. From the Labels screen you can print EAN-13 or Code128 labels on A4 sheets (3 columns) or 58×40 mm thermal labels.
I have several branches or warehouses. Is stock kept separately?
Yes. Each branch has its own stock, and the product total is shown too. A transfer is sent and, once the other branch receives it, the stock moves. The number of branches depends on your plan.
How is the reorder suggestion worked out?
From the quantity used in the last 30 days and the product's minimum stock level. The supplier on the last purchase invoice is shown for each product.
